The Farm to Fork Trail and Fun Run is an interactive way to learn more about agriculture while getting in a good run.
The Farm to Fork is an annual event hosted by Tarleton’s Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT) chapter. All proceeds benefit ACT and are used to help cover learning and networking opportunities within the professional student organization.
The Runs Runners will have the chance to take a quick trip or a longer route through the farm. The fun run is approximately a mile and accessible to jogging strollers.
The trail run follows animal and manmade paths through Tarleton’s working farm. The trail run will take runners through off-road areas of the farm where they will see livestock and possibly wildlife such as deer and turkeys.
At the end of the race, breakfast will be provided. Race participants will also receive a race T-shirt if signed up by March 10.
Tarleton ACT is a collegiate organization aimed at offering professional growth opportunities, building relationships between the industry and future agricultural communication professionals, as well as promoting agriculture through communication efforts. These opportunities occur during group meetings, professional conferences, and other activities designed to prepare students for careers in agricultural communication. Tarleton ACT firmly believes the industry feeding you, your family, and the world is one worth protecting and providing accurate information about.
